IRIS (Internships and Research for Inquisitive Students)

About

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is undoubtedly the force that progresses our society. A STEM education offers numerous benefits, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills and promoting innovation and creativity.  Some of us may grow up with STEM exposure, access and opportunities because of neighbors, schools, and proximity to universities and tech hubs.
Unfortunately, the reality is that many interested students never have exposure to any university-level research lab, not to mention gaining the opportunity to perform research at any university during their high school years.
